Wait, what? Third post this week? Yes, I'm on a roll and I'm trying to keep it that way, so bear with me here.
So October is at its end and I thought I share a few things that were happening this beautiful month.
Ayesh invited us to join tradtiional dance class at the Indonesian embassy (that is a whole other story on its own). He took us first to see this Korean performance near the City Hall. This was my introduction to Korean music, dance and performance. From very energetic to calmness and control itself, I liked it. As a true foreigner would say "it was so Asian".

Korean audience is amazing, by the way. They never hold back their ooh's and aah's. Sometimes it even confuses you whether you missed something or they see something you don't see, but hey can't argue with such an enthusiastic audience. Personally, I like it, because I'm always that one girl in the audience that wants to support the act by clapping and screaming, thinking that if I'll start, everybody will join in. Which they don't do most of the times, but hey, you can't hate me for supporting.
Meet these amazing people: Ayesh, Slawa and Nayeli (and me *does hairflip*)

Then there was this Firework festival thing at the Han River. Fire works isn't something new. Knowing that it will be crowded, could be a reason for us not to go, but we're in Seoul and every event happening here will most likely be a once in a lifetime things. So I'm seizing every opportunity.
But before you do anything.. EAT!

This lunch became one of my favorites. It's 30 seconds from my campus' entrance, jeongmal masseseoyo (very delicious), too much and cheap (which most places are).
If you've ever wondered where the term "asian invasion" comes from.. It's probably shown in the next few photos. The turnout was real. This was the first time that I was actually pushed into the subway, and didn't even have to try to work my way to the exit when I wanted to get out. The people around me carried me outside since I was stuck between walking Koreans.
The place was amazing though. Even though we were multiple hours too early, the place was packed. I do like how people are respectful when it comes to reserving a spot. They bring mats and sit on the grass while their neighbor leaves a decent amount of space between their mats. In western thinking, there is enough space to fill it with atleast twice as much people. You would think the Koreans wouldn't mind as well after the subway thing.
These beautiful people. Photocredits to Nayeli's phone and a selfistidk.
Ugh I love my city, and I love people watching. Who minds hours of waiting when it's in an amazing city like this?
The fireworks were so-so. There were several countries that had their "showcase". China, Japan and France included. So we had high expectations. It turned out to be just average: it was either "seriously, is this it?" or "DID YOU SEE THAT?!, HOW DO THEY DO THAT?!" (They had smileys and hearts, people, SMILEYS AND HEARTS".
SMILEYS, PEOPLE!!!!!
October was amazing. I did tons of other stuff that I will share as well. I think you'll notice that the chronological order will be completely mixed, but who cares. There is more stuff coming up, even things that found place before thes things. But whatever, it might as well happened in this order. You don't know. I know.

And if you don't know, now you knoooooooooow,

Nina
